Revitalizing Robson Square

Premier Campbell announced on October 1 a $1.6-million sponsorship agreement between the Province and GE to help reopen the outdoor ice skating rink at Robson Square in time for the 2010 Winter Games. As part of the sponsorship agreement, GE will contribute $1.6 million over the next three years for the naming rights of the rink, which will become the GE Ice Plaza. When the GE Ice Plaza is not in use, the facility will be called GE Plaza.
