150 Years Young!
The Premier took part in Douglas Day celebration on November 19, the 150th anniversary of the exact day in 1858 when Governor James Douglas came to Fort Langley and read the official proclamation that declared B.C. a Crown Colony. The celebration included the opening of a Spirit Square, the unveiling of art work produced by the Kwantlen First Nation, and a music festival at the Fort Langley National Historic Site.
