Good Bye Toll Booths!
The process to decommission the toll booths on the Coquihalla Highway is underway, Premier Gordon Campbell announced on October 2. Over the next few days, the 13 toll booths on the northbound and southbound lanes will be stripped of materials. The demolition is expected to take several weeks. Approximately 3.4 million trips are completed across the Coquihalla Highway each year in British Columbia. In 2007, 2.7 million passenger vehicles and 700,000 commercial trucks crossed the corridor.
