Expanding Patient Services
Patient care in Surrey and the Fraser Valley took a major step forward on September 18 as Premier Campbell announced the opening of 73 new acute care beds at Surrey Memorial Hospital and the start of construction on the new Surrey Outpatient Hospital - which has been expanded to be almost a third larger than originally planned. The new hospital is expected to be complete in spring 2011, with a capital value of $239 million.
