Creating Clean, Green Power

Premier Campbell attended a ceremonial bridge crossing and blessing of the East Toba/Montrose Creek hydroelectric project in the Toba Valley, north of Powell River on October 4. The $660 million, 196-megawatt run-of-river power project has the potential to displace an estimated 455,000 tonnes of greenhouse gases annually, which is the equivalent of taking 80,000 cars off the road per year or planting 60,000 hectares of trees.
