Celebrating Our Maritime Heritage
The Province is providing a one-time grant of $9 million to help British Columbians celebrate and preserve Canada's unique maritime heritage at a new National Maritime Centre for the Pacific and the Arctic, Premier Gordon Campbell announced on May 2. The funding will go to the City of North Vancouver for planning and development of the new facility and for site preparation such as soil compaction.
