Showcasing B.C.'s Best Young Athletes

Premier Gordon Campbell helped light the torch to officially open the 2008 BC Winter Games on February 21. The games will see 1,449 athletes from throughout British Columbia, averaging in age from 13-15 years old, compete at 19 sporting venues in Kimberley and Cranbrook. More than 2,800 community volunteers will help make the games a success.
