Celebrating Community Spirit
Premier Campbell, Burnaby Mayor Derek Corrigan and the Burnaby Spirit of BC Community Committee launched the Fourth Annual Spirit of BC Week on February 9. The event featured a community marketplace, First Nations dancers and Chinese New Year celebrations, along with figure skating demonstrations and a free family skate. Spirit of BC Week 2008 runs from February 8 through 16, with more than 350 events taking place in more than 100 communities.
