The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations has suspended Meadow Creek Cedar's forest licence and fined the Kootenay-based company $42,000 for failing to meet its legal obligations to reforest logged areas.

Final phase of wall repairs underway this week

Work will begin this week on the final phase of repairs to the Westside Road Interchange retaining walls. Ledcor, the contractor for the Westside Road Interchange project, is starting the process to attach the finishing panels, and anticipates repairs will be complete by mid-March.
